OS00DW82 Substance Abuse Health Care (5 cr)

Objectives Student plans, carries out (information, dokumentation) and analyses the care of a person and his / her family taking into account the person's experiencies and her/his life situation. Student carries out the medical treatment. She / he knows the problem of addiction and the characteristics of addiction. S/he can use methods developed for substance abuse care. Student evaluates and developes the quality of substance abuse care based on evidence, recommendations and good practices and can suit it to different age groups. Student acts under the ethical guidelines of substance abuse care, under the laws and other norms of substance abuse care.
Content Addiction as a phenomen. Conscious work and relationship with client. Assessment, guidance and helping methods of substance abuse care. Experiencies of client and dialogic work. The quality, ethical work and laws as well as other norms of substance abuse care. To know ifdferent association working with people with substance abuse problems. Can advise patient to substance abuse civil society organisations
