MM00EE36 Piano Studies of Theory Teacher 1 (7 cr)

Objectives I can benefit from piano as an instrument in theory teaching. I understand the piano keyboard in describing theoretical phenomena in the theory teacher’s work. I master the basic technique of piano playing and can express my musical thoughts with piano. I understand the importance of goal-directed and persistent practicing, I practice my main instrument according to my plan.
Content Understanding the theoretical phenomena of rhythm and classical music (harmony, melody, rhythmics, form) on the piano keyboard. Basic piano playing technique, theoretical-technical skills, score playing, prima vista of classical and rhythm music pieces, different expressional tools of expression. Getting familiar with the special finesses of jazz piano playing through auditory and note-based learning to support the study of rhythm music theoretical subjects.
