Prerequisites | Course Cattle Management Processes or similar skills. |
Objectives | Student understands the importance of efficient and safe barn environment for animal welfare and economically viable production. He/she identifies and compares functional and technological options for feeding, milking, manure removal and the use of bedding. Student ponders and takes into account future requirements for animal housing, animal and human welfare and biosecurity in barn design. |
