LM00DP84 Cattle Longevity and Breeding (5 cr)
Prerequisites Course Functional Barn Design and Technology or similar skills.
Objectives Student identifies ways to promote the sustainability of cattle in milk and beef production. Student understands the importance of genetics in the development of the cattle. He/she describes the breeding objectives and breeding program for cattle. Student evaluates the alternatives and effects of breeding methods as well as farm-level breeding.
