Description
TK00DM07 | Electrical Engineering for Machine Automation (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | Not applicable |
Objectives | The students are familiar with the principles of device electrification from the point of view of machine and electrical safety. The students know how to dimension the most common electrical components of machine control and are able to use them in a versatile manner. They are able to draw up a control and main circuit diagram for a single device and are familiar with the documents related to the electrification of machine building. |
Content | Standards, Wiring diagrams, Wires, Cord protection, grounding, motors & operatings, Voltage sources, io equipment,Actuator cabling, Circuit connection, Machine measurement, Minutes, Safety performance |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |

Evaluation Criteria |
satisfactory (1-2) You name the components used for electrification and tell in your own words and simplified calculations of their operating principles good (3-4) You apply the standards and basic dimensioning methods related to the electrification of the machine in the design excellent (5) You select components for electrification, produce design solutions for device applications. In the design solution, you present alternative methods of implementation. You evaluate component choices from the perspective of product costs, reliability, and overall feasibility. |
