Objectives	After accomplishment of the study module, the student has basic understanding of actuation of machines, structures, materials and manufacturing methods. The student has basic skills of engineering communication. The student is able to read technical drawings and produce those with CAD software,
Content	Introduction to Mechanical Engineering 3 ECTS - Basic components - Device constructions - Manufacturing methods - Construction materials - Corrosion and basics of surface threadments Professional Communication 2 ECTS - Analysis of communicative skills. - Analysis of communicative situation and recipients. - Basic skills of professional communication. - Performing skills and presentations, meetings. Technical Drawings 3 ECTS - Standards of technical drawing - Methods of projectioning and imaging - Section views - Dimensioning - Threads - Assembly drawings. - Markings of surface finish - Tolerances. ISO system of tolerances and fits - Geometric tolerances - Weld symbols 2D-CAD 2 ECTS - The use of CAD software as the design tool. - Making of manufacturing and assembly drawings
