Objectives | After completing the course, the student is able to - interpret regulations of automotive technology - understand the basics of automotive electrical system - is able to perform repair and cost analysis for damaged vehicle - determine the technical structures of vehicles chassis and powertrain systems |
Content | Automotive legislation (1 ECTS) - National and EU-level - Vehicle scrutineering in Finland Basics of automotive electrical system (1 ECTS) - Voltage and current - Ohm’s law and Kirchhoff’s law 1&2, resistors - DC and AC Vehicle bodywork technology (3 ECTS) - Vehicle chassis construction and material study - Driver assistance systems - Repair and cost analysis for damaged vehicle Vehicle powertrain systems (5 ECTS) - Powertrain technology - Motion study Experimental measurements in automotive laboratory are included in each section |
