OG00EI06 Effectiveness and knowledge management (5 cr)

Objectives 1. Student will analyse the main evaluation concepts, trends and the relationships between them.
2. Student will evaluate and apply various methods and indicators of evaluation of performance and effectiveness (efficiency, productivity, impact, effectiveness) in practice.
3. Student will design a needs-based co-creation solution to a management or practical work-related challenge.
4. Student will use co-creation methods and evaluate the effectiveness of the solution in developing evidence-based practice management.
5. Student will analyse his/her process of becoming a manager from the perspective of evidence-based practice management and knowledge management.

1. The student describes and defines the key concepts of performance and performance evaluation (efficiency, productivity, impact, effectiveness) and their use: economic evaluation of methods, evidence-based practice and its management, knowledge management and sustainable productivity of well-being at work in a changing environment.
2. The student will examine the concepts of impact and effectiveness evaluation, evidence-based practice, the importance of well-being at work productivity and knowledge management through example organisations and will form an understanding of the relationships between them.
3. The student will design and conceptualise the impact and effectiveness evaluation of a needs-based co-development activity. The student will justify the solution chosen for the co-creation task mainly on the basis of national expertise. The student will describe where impact data is available and how the potential co-development solution can be evaluated.
4. In the management workbook, the student describes his/her understanding and knowledge of management effectiveness and efficiency. The student will draw conclusions for the creation of his/her own management approach. He/she will describe his/her growth as a manager from the perspective of evidence-based management and knowledge-based management.
5. The student will draw on research and expert sources, with emphasis on expert sources, to address the given topics.

2. The student will evaluate the concepts of impact and effectiveness evaluation, evidence-based practice, the importance of well-being at work productivity and knowledge management through example organisations and will form a clear and discriminating understanding of the relationships between them, based on reasoned examples.
3. The student will design and conceptualise a needs-based co-development activity and justify the focus of the impact and effectiveness evaluation. The student will provide a comprehensive justification for the solution chosen for the co-creation task based on international and national research and expertise. The student will propose, with justification, where impact data are available and how the potential co-development solution can be evaluated.
4. In a management workbook, students will reflect on his/her own understanding and knowledge of management effectiveness and efficiency. 5. The student will reflect on the given topics in an evidence-based way and make use of a wide range of research and expert sources in his/her assignment, with a focus on international research sources.
