OF00DV96 Physiotherapy as an Evidence Based Profession (3 cr)
Prerequisites None.
Objectives The student recognizes and is able to describe physiotherapist's role, duties and professional background. The student understands the scientific approach of physiotherapy. The students describes physiotherapy by using it's core concepts.
Content Physiotherapy as a profession and science. Core concepts of physiotherapy.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods Assignments done according to instructions and active participation on the course.
Execution methods Webinars, face-to-face lectures, independent studies and working in small groups.

I describe physiotherapy as a profession and discipline clearly. Citing sources, I will give examples of the role, core competence, duties and professional background of a physiotherapist. I will give examples of the relationship of physiotherapy with related sciences. I use a wide range of key concepts in physiotherapy.
