| OF00DV84 | Practical Training in Rehabilitation Field (4 cr) |
| Prerequisites | The student has participated on the first semester studies of physiotherapy in Oamk. |
| Objectives | The student recognizes which kind of clients and methods there are in physiotherapy. His/her understanding about physiotherapy core components and responsibilities widens. The student knows how to protect him/herself against infections in clinical contexts. He/she has basic knowledge about aseptic working, first aid and patient care in hospital wards. |
| Content | 1. Basics of hand hygiene, aseptic working, infection prevention and first aid. 2 cr 2: Physiotherapy as a part of multiprofessional rehabilitation. 2 cr |
| Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
| Accomplishment methods | 1. Active participation in workshops and assigments. 2. Practical training in working life. More detailed instructions in Moodle. |

pass/fail The student has: - sent his/her presentation and learning goals to the physios in placement. - done working schedule for him/herself and followed it purposefully - acted ethically and taken care of data safety - been responsible and professionally curious and reflected his/her learning as guided - submitted his/her working schedule and reflection into Moodle |

| Further Information | The student needs to participate on all contact lectures and workshops according to the schedule. Placements for practical training are mainly arranged by the student himself. Via Jobiili and the university there is only a limited number of placements to choose. Credit transfer: Practical nurses can ask for substitution of the course or part of it if same competencies can be indicated in the curriculum of their former studies. |
