TG00CP68 Industrial Plant Engineering (5 cr)

Objectives Students will be familiar with the structures of industrial piping, design and construction. Students know common equipments related to the industrial pipe lines. Students will be familiar with the standars and norms used when designing and installing the pipe lines. Students know the principles of modeling pipelines, their frame structures and equipments using cad-software.

Student knows the essential contents of legislative documents, norms and standards related to the pressure equipment. The student has a sufficient knowledge on pressure vessel constructions. The student is able to design the equipment and knows the principles how to select the materials.
Content Concept of industrial piping. Dimensioning industrial pipelines and structures. Parts and aquipment of pipe lines. Industrial pipe line projects.

Legislation and norms of pressure equipment. The principles of design and selection of materials. Manufacturing if pressure equipment. Modeling the equipment using the cad-software and making analyzes of the constructions.
