Objectives Learning outcomes / What do I need to know?

1. The Student knows the legislation and ethical principles governing emergency nursing.
2.The Student knows the job description of a nurse in primary care.
3.The Student describes the care pathway and treatment of a typical emergency patient in the emergency department.
4. The Student applies safe working methods.
5. The Student examines and monitors the patient's basic vital functions using information from examinations, procedures and point-of-care analytics.
6. The Student guides patients and their relatives in matters such as self-care and other typical health advice situations.
7. The Student searches for information in reliable nursing databases and use it in my work in emergency nursing.
8. The Student plans vaccination using evidence-based knowledge.

Execution methods 1. Developing skills by acquiring knowledge related to emergency nursing by doing learning tasks and studying topics independently.
2. Applying knowledge of emergency care and nursing in practice and simulation classes.
3. Demonstrating knowledge in the theoretical part of the course.
4. Developing knowledge of neurological diseases and their medical management through lectures and learning activities. Demonstrating knowledge in a theory examination in neurology 1 credit.

2. The Student monitors the patient's condition by examination and observation based on the information obtained and implement patient management.

3. The Student uses his knowledge of basic level prehospital emergency care to examine the basic vital functions of the patient in the emergency department.

4. The Student applies patient and occupational safety priciples in his work.

5. The Student knows basic knowledge about vaccination.

6. The Student uses some professional neurological terminology. I recognize some facts regarding epidemiological and etiological factors, symptoms and findings, and medical care of common neurological conditions.
