Objectives | 1. The student applies knowledge, skills and decision making in an emergency care setting in a client-centered way. 2.The student assess the need for care and determines the urgency of care in typical emergency nursing situations. 3. As a member of the care team, the student plans and implements the monitoring of the patient's condition, basic vital functions, and ensures basic vital functions and anticipate changes. 4. The student uses nursing technology, laboratory and imaging studies in decision making and care planning. 5. The student acts aseptically when performing clinical procedures. 6. The student carries out safe drug and fluid therapy. 7. The student adheres to patient safety, nursing ethics and principles when acting as a responsible member of the nursing team. 8. The student communicates professionally and situationally with patients and the care team. 9. The student records and reports on patient care issues in accordance with the practice of the placement, using national and international recommendations. 10. The student is responsible for the evaluation and development of his own competences. |
Content | 1. Assessing the need for treatment and determining the urgency of treatment. 2. Monitoring and securing the basic vital functions and overall well-being of the patient in emergency department. 3. Anticipating changes in vital functions. 4. Use and application of technology, laboratory and imaging studies in decision making. 5. Clinical skills in emergency care. 6. Aseptic practice. 7. Specific features and requirements for the administration of drugs, fluids and blood products in emergency care. 8. Multidisciplinary teamwork, communication, information and continuity of care. |

Execution methods | 1. The student develops his skills by acquiring knowledge related to emergency nursing by doing an internship assignment and using databases and nursing guidelines in patient care. 2. The student applies his nursing skills when working as a nurse in an emergency room during my internship. 3. The student demonstrates his competence in a written assignment related to the internship and during the internship. |

The student describes the role of emergency care as part of the overall care of the patient. 2.The student assess the need and urgency of a patient's care and the changes in basic vital functions during care. 3.The student uses the most common monitoring equipment and treatment technologies in the emergency department and analyze the results in relation to the patient's condition. 4. As a member of a team, the student implements nursing procedures and drug and fluid therapy in an ethical and safe manner. 5. The student describes the main drugs used in emergency nursing, their effects and indications. 6.The student participates in decision-making about patient care, justifies his proposals and actions with reliable evidence and observations of the patient. 7. I participate in the recording of care. 8. I meet and support patients and relatives during the care process. 9. I act reliably and responsibly as a member of the work-based team and care team. 10.
