Further Information Training objective 3) The student will be able to observe and care for acutely ill children and adolescents:

This objective relates to and demonstrates competence in the care of the pediatric patient. During the undergraduate studies, case analyses of the care process of at least three children or adolescents of different ages in primary care are prepared. The exact assignment is in the Moodle section of this training and the assignment will also be saved in Moodle. Child patient cases related to the assignment can be collected from both basic paramedic training and from patients encountered in paramedic work. The case assignment will be returned no later than the end of the advanced basic paramedic training and the mark will be recorded in the Advanced Basic paramedic training and demonstration of competence course.

Guidelines for the recognition of prior learning (AHOT):

This is agreed with the course supervisor in the semester preceding the course. The self-evaluation form and its return are available on Moodle. No request for an accreditation is made using the HOT tool in Peppi.

In this case, if you are AHOTing all undergraduate courses, please refer to the AHOT Guide for further information on the Clinical Practicum and Proficiency Examination in Basic Level Prehospital Emergency Care course.
