ON00DV69 | Bachelor's Thesis: Drafting Process (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | The student has completed Level I and Level II studies. |
Objectives | The student will be able to: • develop a feasible research or project plan; • choose the perspective and limitations of the research topic relevant to the thesis and justify the choice for professional growth; • retrieve information on the chosen topic and development method and critically evaluate the references used; • define the relevant concepts in the knowledge base, and their interrelationships and summarise previous research and/or other reliable evidence-based knowledge; • select and justify an appropriate research or development methodology and identify factors relating to the quality, reliability, and ethicality of the chosen methodology; • establish the necessary collaborative work, and draw up a plan of intent and a cooperation agreement; • carry out target time frame based on available resources and expert guidance; and • write and present academic texts based on resources and follow the instructions of the Oamk thesis guidelines. |
Content | General introduction and choice of topic • Thesis process and structure and its knowledge-based development and thesis plan • Research seminars • Selection of the thesis supervisor(s) • Identification of a thesis topic and the selection of a thesis proposal. • Academic writing and communication Developing the knowledge base and the thesis plan in workshops. Workshops: • Design workshops (thesis supervisors) • Information retrieval workshops • Technical workshops • Methodology workshops |

Further Information | Those who have registered for the course are divided into small groups led by the thesis supervisor(s). The plans for the thesis are made primarily in workshops handled by supervisors.
