Objectives The student knows the forms of heat transfer and is able to use them in energy and HVAC processes.
Content Forms of heat transfer. Conduction. Convection. Radiation. Combined heat transfer. Heat exchangers, Fins, Basics of moisture transport.

You calculate the basic cases of heat transfer (conduction, convection and radiation heat transfer) on a flat surface and in a pipe.

You calculate the basic cases of combined radiation and convection heat transfer. You calculate the amount of moisture that passes through the wall. You calculate the heat transfer of a fin of constant cross-section.

You dimension the heat exchanger and justify the dimensions and choices you made. You also justify the choices of previous topics
