Objectives After completing this course, student can recognize data types and perform required pre-processing steps before further analysis. Student can design and implement a data collection process. Student can combine data from different sources. Student can normalize and transform data, and handle missing or incorrect values. Student can ensure generalizability of the results.
Content -Introduction to data pre-processing
-Data ethics, security and privacy, data management and databases
-Data collection
-Merging data sources, sampling and balancing

-Noise, outliers and signal saturation
-Normalization, transformation, data reduction and distributions
