Description

YY00EJ21	Writing Skills in Finnish Language (3 cr)
Prerequisites	YY00EJ18 Finnish Language 7: Working Life or equivalent knowledge of Finnish (Proficiency level B1.1)
Objectives	I write understandable and reasonably correct text. I use vocabulary and sentence structures in a variety of ways. I search for and combine information from the text I read. The target level is B1.2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Content	Recognizing one’s own strengths and areas of development in written language skills. Writing texts of different genres (e.g. different emails, opinion pieces, summaries). Practicing differences in formal and informal language. Advanced grammar, e. g. participles and shortened sentences.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
