Description

YY00EJ17	Finnish Language 6: Finnish Culture (4 cr)
Prerequisites	YY00EJ16 Finnish Language 5: Everyday Life or equivalent knowledge of Finnish (Proficiency level A2.1)
Objectives	I can participate in routine conversations about my own or important matters in Finnish. I can also write a simple description of past events and personal experiences. I understand the main points and some details even in somewhat demanding everyday situations. The target level is A2.2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Content	Knowledge about Finnish culture, e. g. holiday festivities, vacations (going to a summer cottage etc.), Finnish food culture, society, nature and history. Structures of Finnish language, e. g. plural of partitive and genitive, use of conditional mood.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
