KB00DN17 Research and Development Methods Part II (5 cr)
Prerequisites Not applicable
Objectives Qualitative research methods (3 ECTS): Students advance their understanding of qualitative research. They learn how to collect and analyze qualitative data. They also learn how to report qualitative research findings. Students are able to conduct a small-scale qualitative research.
Quantitative research methods (2 ECTS): Students recognize the basic descriptives. They can study the linear dependency between two variables. They also understand the concept of correlation and regression.
Content Qualitative research methods: Research design, research strategy, qualitative data collection methods (interviews, observation and other written material), qualitative analysis methods, reporting.
Quantitative research methods: Descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, Excel exercises.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
