The student understands the principles of globalization and its effects on organizations participating in international trade. The student can assess countries' and international trade organizations' roles and economic integration in a changing global business environment. The student understands the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability in Trading. The student can follow current phenomena affecting international business. The student can apply basic economic concepts and models to business situations. The student can analyse a range of economic data. The student can analyse the effects of economic policies on businesses and consumers. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
In this course, we take a look at the meaning and nature of globalisation, along with its advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and challenges to businesses. We also explore some of the patterns of trade. Trade is the exchange of products between businesses in different countries. When conditions are right, trade brings benefits to all businesses and countries involved and can be a powerful driver for sustained GDP growth and rising living standards. Due to the limited time, we will focus on a few topics at the introductory level. Course materials will be provided in Moodle later.
