| Objectives | The student will explore the concepts, methods and logistical components of entrepreneurship in the arts and creative industries. The course will focus on supporting students to articulate and develop an entrepreneurial mindset with respect to their professional identity and skills relating to topics including, but not limited to, marketing, fundraising and networking. Students will demonstrate key competencies relating to exploring entrepreneurial pathways for future work and performance production in the arts and culture sector. The student will assess potential for entrepreneurial and innovation development in their own professional practice. |
| Content | Course content will cover a range of topics associated with the development of arts based businesses and organizations from initial ideation to the practical steps to putting sustainable business models into practice. Course components will be structured around three sections: 1. an introduction to entrepreneurial practices and design principles (3 ECTS), a practice-based and conceptual exploration of the impact of digital technologies on arts and culture sector business practices (3 ETS), and a project-based articulation and implementation of prototype development and business planning (4 ECTS). Active participation in studies and completing assigned tasks with approval. Achieving competence goals in accordance with the course implementation plan. |
