Objectives | The student will engage with a range of emerging digital tools in relation to performance art production practice. The student will build an understanding of current trends for digital innovation and technological advancements in fields relating to sound, lighting, motion and word craft. The course will support an understanding of how to include new digital tools into production design, planning and implementation. The student will evaluate which digital solutions can be used to support more sustainable impact. This course will cover a broad spectrum of digital technologies associated with live performance work. |
Content | Content will be diveded into sections which prepare students to gain a foundational knowledge and awareness of various thematic fields including sound and word craft-based technologies such as machine learning and digital sound tools (3 ECTS) and light, projection and movement-based application including motion capture and projection tracking (3 ECTS). The course will also include exercises for supporting the design, planning and execution of experimentations with a chosen set of tools (4 ECTS). Course assignments will be based on hands-on projects to allow for practical experimentation with digital tools and methods.Active participation in studies and completing assigned tasks with approval. Achieving competence goals in accordance with the course implementation plan. |
