The teacher?s role is to coach and facilitate learning whereas the student is an active and responsible agent in class. The focus is on verbal communication. Students learn English of their professional field through speaking and listening while doing group and pair work in class. Independent study includes preparation for classes by doing reading and writing tasks and by searching for information in English on the Internet. The PEC courses are taught on the level B2.

The course is available online in Moodle to be taken independently. Other than certain deadlines there are no set times or lessons. However, there will be two distant learning lessons to attend.

Summer 2024. Independently online. Mostly not dependent on time or location. Student chooses two distant learning lessons to attend to in Zoom from the given options (one in May and one in August).
The options for May are (choose one): 13.5. 2024 at 18.00 and 21.5.at 18.00.

English comprehension and writing skills are evaluated through the Moodle tasks. A written test is taken in Exam room. The test can be taken in any location that has Exam in use. Proficiency in spoken English is evaluated via videos and recordings.
