Objectives | Students can explain the typical fault situations in the electricity distribution network and principles of relay protection. S/He is able to calculate electrical quantities in fault situations and is able to use them in setting relays.The student knows the structure of the network management system, the core of its parts and functions. |
Content | The distribution system malfunctions, the basic principles and implementation of relay protection. Fault monitoring and corrective measures. Arc and over voltage protection. Network Manager SCADA systems, remote access, power grid, operation control and operation support systems, control rooms, substation communication, the communication links. Laboratory exercises. |
