TM00DU15 Statics (5 cr)
Prerequisites Newton's laws, right angled triangle, system of linear equations, basics of vector algebra
Objectives Students will be able to simplify a real mechanism into a free body diagram,to calculate reaction forces and bending moments in statically determined cases of plane and space statics.
Content Statics of a particles and rigid bodies. Stresses of plane mechanisms and parts.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
