Objectives | The student is able to apply the basic terminology of trauma patient´s imaging and interprofessional collaboration. The student is able to use the general principles and modalities of trauma imaging. The student is able to explain the effects of high energy accidents, to describe injury mechanisms and anatomy and physiology, to use primary survey, to describe patient´s care and radiological examinations, to explain the use contrast media, and to explain the radiation protection of a patient and staff. The student is able to assess and manage the care of a trauma patient from different professional perspectives. The student is able to work in an interprofessional team. |
Content | Terminology of trauma patient´s imaging and nursing care. General principles and modalities of trauma imaging and patient´s nursing care. High energy accidents, injury mechanisms and anatomy and physiology. Primary survey, patient´s nursing care and radiological examinations. The use contrast media. Radiation protection of patient and staff. Assessment and care of a trauma patient from different professional perspectives. Interprofessional team work and collaboration. |
