ON00DL37 Client-centered Care for Older People (5 cr)
Prerequisites Level I and Level II studies have been completed
Objectives The student is able to:

? interpret ageing in a client-oriented approach and assess well-being, health, physical functioning, and the need for care and service;
? improve health and rehabilitation of older person multiprofessionally;
? provide evidence-based care for an older patient;
? describe the care and service networks of an older person and identify the status and role of relatives and their participation in the care services;
? know the most common illnesses and the medical treatment of older people; and
? identify the challenges of care of the older people.
Content 1) Promoting health and rehabilitation of the older person (2 ECTS)
2) Nursing of the older person (2 ECTS)
3) Care and support plan of the older person (0.5 ECTS)
4) Geriatrics (0.5 ECTS)
