Objectives | Theoretical and practical competencies: I can demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and skills and be able to discuss and manage patients when diagnostic drugs are indicated in the areas of: Factors affecting drug absorption; Cycloplegics; Mydriatics; Miotics; Local anesthetics; Staining agents; Antimicrobial agents; Solutions used in contact lens work; Decongestants, Antihistamines, and anti-inflammatory components; Ocular effects of drugs used systemically; First-aid and emergency measures used by the optometrists, and formulation of eye preparations. |
