AT00DA58 Basic Studies in Show Dance (10 cr)
Prerequisites The baseline that is appropriate for the objectives of the course. If necessary, the student and the student counsellor will go through the other recommended studies in HOPS discussions.
Objectives I've developed competence goals to develop dance skills. I use basic terminology and anatomical concepts in the context of show dance. I act responsibly in developing body and dance skills. I have a body of mastery of the main content and dance technique of the basics of show dance. I participate in the design and implementation of choreography and in the acquisition of costumes. I'm participating in the presentation of group choreography to the public. I assess the development of my competence during the course. I also participate in peer review and feedback during the course.
Content Development of personal learning goals. Basic anatomical concepts in show dance. Show dance technique. Dance terminology The relationship between dance and movement and music. Choreography and performance. Participating in the costume of a dance performance. Evaluation, interaction, and self-reflection.

Dance Technique: Breathing, core and body support, alignments, grounding, weight transfer, spatial directions of motion and formations, orientation to others, coordination, body rhytmn, dynamics, movement quality.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods Contact teaching and demonstration of competence.
Execution methods Specific details in implementation plan (assessment, timetable, learning assignments/exams).
