| Objectives | The student demonstrates ability to justify the choice and planning of orthotics using conceptual models and frames of references in occupational therapy. The student has developed knowledge about the indications and contraindications for orthotics and cervical collars. She / he is able to assess the need of an individual for orthotics and cervical collars and their effect on the occupational performance. The student is able to plan and prepare different types of static and dynamic orthotics and cervical collars to enable client¿s occupational performance. The student has developed knowledge and skills to apply kinesiological principles in the planning and preparation of orthotics. The student know basic principales wound healing. |
