Objectives The student outlines the basis and different approaches of arts, culture, and art education at the welfare service sector context. The student operates with versatile art-based methods and describe the importance of arts as a means of human activity, expression, communication, community and everyday life. The student explains how arts and culture promote well-being of clients. The student defines the basic theoretical framework of arts in the social welfare sector context.The student identifies socio-pedagogical and socio-cultural orientation when using arts- and culture-based activities and methods within diverse social welfare sectors. The student applies, develops and evaluates suitable art-based methods and activities for clients.
Content The different applications of art forms such as visual arts, music, literary, dance, expressive arts, and culture in broad definition. Socio-pedagogical and socio-cultural orientation when using art- and culture-based methods and activities to promote the well-being of clients. Arts and culture-based activities which generate well-being in the everyday life of the social sector clients.
