Objectives | 1. You know how to plan and implement pedagogically accessible teaching and guidance. - You consider the realisation of pedagogical accessibility in the education of your teaching field from the perspectives of physical, mental, social, and attitudinal accessibility. 2. You understand the importance of special support and student welfare services in education. - You examine student welfare services and student well-being in education. - You examine special support procedures in teaching and guidance in education. |
Content | After the course, you understand the meanings of accessibility, the need of special support and the basics of student welfare in education. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
Accomplishment methods | You will first develop your knowledge in Special Pedagogy by familiarising yourself with the course literature (references) and other relevant material. Then you will prepare an essay discussing pedagogical accessibility, student welfare services and special support procedures. The discussion should be examined in the scope of your forthcoming teaching field (primary, upper secondary or tertiary education). |
