Teaching Practice for Exchange Students (4 cr) |
| Prerequisites |
You familiarise yourself with the Finnish education system and the teachers? work based on sources. Prepare one A4-long summary as a pre-assignment and send it to the responsible teacher. |
| Objectives |
You will familiarise yourself with Finnish education by observing a teachers' work in an authentic context. Then, by possibilities, you will work as an assistant teacher.
(As an assistant teacher) You interact with students to promote learning.
You evaluate the pedagogical solutions and examine different dimensions of teacher work.
You reflect on what you have learned of a teachers' work.
You discuss how you will develop your pedagogical skills in the future. |
| Content |
According to the competence-based approach, a study unit's contents will be built based on the competence goals. The implementation of the study unit depends on the student's personal study plan (PSP). |
