On a world tour, the Gilles Jobin company presents “Cosmogony” in Bilbao on 1st June 2023.
The live digital performance takes place in Geneva, featuring three dancers who are motion captured live at Gilles Jobin Company’s studio and screened in real time at the Auditorium of Azkuna Zentroa.
The captured movements are sliced up into digital ‘bits’ and sent instantaneously through cyberspace to appear as avatars to an audience for a live audience, hundreds of miles away from the company’s studio.The dancers’ bodies and their avatars are entangled like particles in a quantum state, performing spooky actions at a distance, their movements instantaneously teleported across the world.
