The first of the nine residencies of the ACuTe project had a hybrid format for Det Norske Teatret, with the first part hosted by Azkuna Zentroa, the centre for Society and Contemporary Culture. The residency took place from 30 May to 2 June 2023, coinciding with PROTOTIPOAK, the International Biennial of New Art Forms in Bilbao.
The four intense days were grouped into two blocks: a first inspirational part with different experts, and a second part with time for reflection and internal work by the Oslo team with the support of the Academy for Theatre and Digitality.
Azkuna Zentroa designed a programme with the participation of several local and international experts with whom knowledge and inspirational experiences were shared in the form of conversations, workshops, performances, and meetings. The profiles of the experts who participated in this residency have experience in productions and international collaborations and have shared their knowledge from different perspectives: artists, Maker collectives, curators and engineers.

Afterwards, the four invited participants from Det Norske Teatret had two days with time and space to work internally on their production, and also moments to enjoy the local gastronomy and the cultural programme of Azkuna Zentroa.
